Visa Application

Visa requirements differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Visitors to Hong Kong must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months after their intended stay in Hong Kong. Visitors from most countries are not required to obtain visas and can stay for periods varying from 7 days to 180 days, depending on nationality. Please check the website of the Hong Kong Immigration Department to find out whether you need to apply for an entry visa to Hong Kong.

If you need a Letter of Invitation to apply for a visa to attend the Conference, please make this request to and send the following information by email to ccpl@hku.hk:

  1. Your full name shown in your passport

  2. Your passport number (if you wish us to include it in the invitation letter)

  3. Your title and institution

  4. List the capacity/capacities in which you will participate in the conference, that is, whether participating as a presenter of paper, discussant and/or chair, title of paper you will present (if applicable), the title of the panel that you are assigned to, and the name of the chair of your panel

  5. To whom the letter should be addressed

  6. Postal address

  7. Email address for receiving the letter of invitation (in PDF format)

 

All personal information received will be treated as confidential. The information received will only be used for the purpose of issuing the requested invitation letter.

 

The invitation letter is only intended to facilitate participants’ leave, travel and visa arrangements and DOES NOT imply the provision of financial or other support.
